What data do we collect?
SoberLine can be used anonymously. For anonymous users we primarily collect app usage data. Any questions we ask are not intended to be personally identifiable. Additionally, we may collect crash data when the app crashes that helps us debug issues and improve the quality of the app.
Account data
In order to create an account with SoberLine, we will ask you to provide us with your email address and password. We will also collect data regarding your interaction with the app. This may include technical information such as your IP address based on your location, app version, or device platform and timezone.
Account data with an upgraded SoberLine account
When you subscribe to SoberLine, we provide cloud data backups as a service. This means that any information you provide will be backed up securely in the cloud. This can include information such as your sober start date, reasons for staying sober, daily notes, urges, and promises. This may include sensitive personal data about your past, present, or future physical or mental health condition.
Where is this data stored?
The data mentioned above is stored securely on Supabase. All user data is secured in transit using TLS and encrypted at rest as it flows through our infrastructure.
What do we do with this data?
App usage and account data help us improve the user experience of our apps. We may use anonymized start dates and survey answers to display motivational statistics to our users. We are not a subsidiary of a larger corporation that can access your information.
Who do you share this data with?
We never share information with third parties beyond those required to serve you, and we will never share any of this data unless required to by law or subpoena. We use the following third-party providers:
- Supabase: data storage provider (privacy policy). Used to securely store the data outlined above.
- Apple / RevenueCat: used to process in-app subscriptions. The only personal info collected here is an app user ID and subscription expiration dates.
Child safety
By purchasing a subscription you confirm that you meet the age requirement. If you are under the age of 18, you confirm you have received permission from your parent or guardian before using this app or sending us personal information.

SoberLine provides data storage and tracking tools for informational purposes only. We do not provide medical advice, treatment, or professional health services. We are not responsible for any health outcomes, recovery results, treatment decisions, or relapses. Users should consult healthcare professionals for medical advice and addiction treatment.
Financial data disclaimers
SoberLine provides money-saved tracking tools for organizational and motivational purposes only. We do not provide financial advice. We are not responsible for any financial decisions, outcomes, or consequences resulting from use of these features.
User data protection
SoberLine treats user data privacy as a primary concern. Any personal data you choose to share with us is transmitted over the Internet at your own risk. Once we have received your data we implement industry-standard security practices to prevent unauthorized access. We strictly review modifications to our application code and our Supabase infrastructure, and we monitor our infrastructure in an effort to detect any attempt of unauthorized access.
User data retention
SoberLine retains user data for as long as you actively use our mobile application, and for a reasonable period afterward so that we can respond to any future legal proceedings. User data may be anonymously aggregated during and beyond this time to help us improve our products and services. It is not possible for a customer to be individually identified from aggregated or derived data.
How do I delete my data?
If you'd like us to delete all information tied to your account, you can:

- Request account deletion through the Profile section within the app.
Our support team will process your account deletion request as soon as possible upon receiving it.
EU citizen rights under GDPR
SoberLine is a data controller committed to complying with GDPR. Under certain circumstances you have the right to be provided with a copy of your personal data, to request its deletion, to restrict its processing, to object to further processing (including marketing), and to request that your data be moved to a third party. Liability limitations
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SoberLine provides all services "as is" without warranties of any kind. We disclaim all warranties regarding data accuracy, service availability, or outcomes, and we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for third-party service failures (Supabase, Apple, etc.).
Governing law and jurisdiction
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of Serbia. Any disputes arising from this policy or our data processing practices will be resolved exclusively in the courts of Belgrade, Serbia. For users in the European Union and other international jurisdictions, Serbian law applies to all privacy-related matters.
Changes to the privacy policy
We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on the website. If we make material changes, we will notify you here that it has been updated.
