Delete from inside the app
This is the fastest route. Open SoberLine and go to Settings → Delete account, then confirm. Your request is recorded immediately and processed as described below.
Request deletion by email
If you have uninstalled the app or cannot sign in, email [email protected] with the subject Account deletion request.
Send the message from the email address on the account, or tell us the email address you used, so we can find the right account. If you only ever used SoberLine anonymously, without creating an account, include your display name from the community feed if you posted there — otherwise there is no account to look up, and uninstalling the app removes everything held on your device.
What gets deleted
Everything tied to your account is removed:
- Your account and sign-in credentials
- Your profile: name, display name, sober start date, goal, spending figures, reminder settings and language
- Everything you recorded: daily promises, urge logs, journal entries, drink logs, habits and habit history, recovery path progress, milestones and game scores
- Your crisis message and support person
- Your likes, blocks and any reports you filed
What is kept, and why
- Community posts and comments you wrote are not removed, because deleting them would break conversations other people are part of. They are permanently disconnected from you instead: your user reference is erased and the content no longer resolves to any account. If you want a specific post or comment gone as well, delete it in the app before requesting account deletion, or list them in your email and we will remove them.
- Subscription and payment records are held by Apple or Google and by RevenueCat, our billing provider, and are retained for as long as tax and accounting law requires. We never receive or store your payment details.
- Anonymous, aggregated statistics that can no longer be traced back to you may be retained.
How long it takes
Requests are processed within 30 days, and usually much sooner. We will confirm by email once your account has been deleted. Backups are rotated on a 30-day cycle, so residual copies are fully gone within 30 days of processing.
Deletion is permanent
Your streak, your history and your notes cannot be restored afterwards, and a new account will start from zero. If you only want to stop the subscription and keep your progress, cancel the subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings instead — your data stays and the app keeps your history.
